UK crane rental company Bennetts Cranes (Bennetts) has erected a Raimondi LR213 on behalf of UK building contractor Henry Construction at a job site in London, UK. It is the first LR213 to be erected in London.

The crane was erected freestanding with 83 meter tower and a 44.5 m jib over a period of two days. It includes four different types of tower section within the tower build. Once erected, testing and inspections were conducted. The crane’s manufacturer, Raimondi, flew in a technician from Italy who remained onsite with the Bennetts team for the duration of the installation process.
The crane is being used to help build a mixed-use development in Wembley, west London, for property developer HUB. Once completed, the development will include a 21- and a 26-story block.
The LR213 will be used onsite for approximately two years. It will be used to lift false-work/form-work, concrete skips, rubbish skips, and boat skips. During the later parts of the construction program, the crane will used for lifting bricks, blocks, plasterboard and other site materials.
According to Bennetts, the LR213’s out-of-service radius of 17.6m with a 44.5m jib which was key in ensuring Henry Construction did not encroach on any neighboring properties. “The ability to park at 17.6m when out of service and free-stand to the height of 83m made the LR213 the perfect choice for the job. It avoids over-sailing with the neighbors, and avoids having to tie into the building thereby preventing any complications for our client,” said Edward Seager, founder and managing director of Bennetts.
