W.O. Grubb has moved north by recently opening a new branch in Greencastle, Pa. The company said the Pennsylvania branch, which opened in June, will provide new opportunities for the company and help better service customers.
John Bentz was named branch manager of the Greencastle facility. Previously he was a heavy equipment mechanic in the Marines, and he brings to the company 20 years of operator experience and 10 years of sales estimating and crane company management.
“We have full support of the company behind us with up to 600 tons in mobile cranes and 825 tons in crawler cranes,” he said. “We have outside storage, rigging, and heavy haul services also.”
The branch is the first to take delivery of the new 175-ton Grove GMK5150L all-terrain crane. W.O. Grubb purchased three of these cranes and celebrated the event during a special handover ceremony at Manitowoc’s ConExpo booth (see photo). The company is also expecting a new 115-ton Grove TMS 9000/2 truck crane to arrive soon.
