Mini-cranes are more accessible in the Mid-Atlantic, now that JekkoUSA, exclusive distributor of Italian-made Jekko minicranes, has signed a sales partnership with Stephenson Equipment Inc. (SEI). With 60 years of experience in sales and rental of heavy equipment, SEI has added the Jekko mini-crane products to its six location in Pennsylvania and New York.
The Jekko compact crawler cranes provide lifting and maneuvering capabilities in confined work areas. Each crane is equipped with retractable, stabilizing outriggers and is ideal for operating in interior project spaces. Jekkos give operators lifting capacities ranging from 1.2 to 8 tons.
Darrick Marris, Branch Manager at SEI Syracuse , notes that Jekkos’ accuracy, control, and stability have been widely used in the glass handling industry, and have proven useful in utilities, restoration, steel work, and more.
“They set up quickly and offer multiple outrigger configurations that let them get the work done in very confined spaces,” added Darin D’Ascanio, territory manager for SEI Philadelphia.
The three Jekko SPX424C+ mini-cranes added to SEI’s rental fleet have a maximum lifting capacity of 5,300 lbs., a 39’1″ reach, and maximum height of 49’3″.
The battery-powered crane can fit through a single standard door and has a transport size of 10’4″ x 2’6″ x 6’5″. Models in SEI’s rental fleet feature an onboard LMI for safe and easy operation.
