This spring, Ropebock has added three new lifting and rigging products for the crane industry.
The new Ropeblock round overhaul ball is available in weights ranging from 100 to 1,200 lbs., depending
on the average boom length and efficiency loss in mobile and crawler cranes. The round overhaul ball features a top swiveling sted-eye, 4:1 safety factor, high-quality and low-friction thrust bearing. The Becket size is optimized for Ropeblock sockets, such as the open wedge (OWS), open spelter (OSS), fast connector (FCS), or super reeve connector sockets (SCS). Other notable features include the forged alloy steel eye hooks, forged bar material body, and an impact resistant ductile body. The ball has a signal yellow C3M finish.
Another of Ropeblock’s new rigging products also offers the new tailgrip open wedge socket, which is available for wire rope diameters from 5/16 to 3-3/8 inches. The standard socket range is available in quenched and tempered cast steel. The basket and wedge are designed for easy installation and optimal wire rope efficiency and have the added benefit to terminate the tail to the wedge itself. The wedge can be used with other sockets as well.
The latest rigging products are a new range of ramshorn hooks from Ropeblock feature next generation EN13001-3-5 compliant hooks that were designed to increase efficiency, enhance durability, and improve operational safety. By increasing the bending radius in the sling zone, the new EN13001-3-5 compliant hook design significantly increases the working efficiency of slings and grommets. The improved Ropeblock hooks enhance sling and grommet durability by reducing wear, while causing less reduction of sling and grommet capacity. The safer-to-use hook-body geometry meets or exceeds the EN and DIN standard strength, while the shape still allows it to work with traditional hardware.
