A crane operator sustained minor injuries after an accident on Aug. 20.
According to police, the incident occurred around noon at 1 Cotton St. The 57-year-old man suffered injuries to his nose after his crane tipped over.
Police said the injured operator was treated by medics at the site.
The construction site is the forthcoming 154 luxury apartment complex advertised as The Isle. It is adjacent to the Venice Island Performing Arts and Recreation Center.
The crane had fallen near the railroad tracks on Venice Island but was removed within an hour.
Many business owners near the site said they were unaware of the incident.
