The S.V.M.M. company, based in Valenciennes, France, recently took delivery of a new Demag AC 160-5 all-terrain crane. The unit was selected to replace a Terex AC 120 in its fleet.
“The AC 160-5 offers excellent load charts and is very compact for its capacity. In fact, it has the same footprint as the machine it’s replacing,” says Michel Brouillard, managing director of the company. With a 68-meter boom, the AC 160-5 allows S.V.M.M. to respond to the demand for erecting tower cranes and building complex steel structures. S.V.M.M.’s new AC 160-5 is also equipped with the IC-1 Plus control system.
S.V.M.M.’s fleet is almost exclusively made up of Terex and Demag cranes, and last year, they added a Demag AC 100-4L to its fleet.
