Crane rental specialists Danese Autogru SRL has added a 220-tonne Demag AC 220-5 all-terrain crane to its fleet in Montanara, Italy.
“We currently own a few smaller Terex and Demag all terrain cranes, and we’ve been pleased with those units’ performance,” explains Giancarlo Danese, owner of Danese Autogru. “This larger Demag five-axle crane is easy to transport from job to job and rigs quickly; those are qualities that will help our team be efficient for our customers.”
Danese Autogru’s new Demag AC 220-5 crane has a main boom length of 78 meters and a maximum system length of 99 meters. It features the Demag IC-1 Plus control system, which calculates real-time lifting capacities to allow the crane to perform jobs usually reserved for larger machines. The single-engine concept will start and stop machine functions to reduce idle times and total engine hours, which contributes to a reduction in fuel costs and preserves the crane’s residual value.
