As its strategic growth initiatives continue to translate into success in 2016, Crane Inspection & Certification Bureau (CICB), announces new Manager of Business Development for the Gulf Coast Region.
During a time when most safety training and certification companies are struggling to meet enrollment goals, the past few years has seen Crane Inspection & Certification Bureau (CICB) enjoy record growth. Strategic growth measures have expanded the company’s footprint in the construction, petrochemical, aerospace and manufacturing industries, making them the leader in crane and rigging education in Texas and the Gulf Coast Region of the US. Among these measures was the recent approval to provide training to individuals as crane operators from Texas Workforce Commission Career School & Colleges, the acquisition of East Texas Crane Academy, adding a number of new employees to help promote growth initiatives, and expanded its role as a leading supporter of industry associations and organizations.
A remarkable milestone was also reached this past year with the administration of the 10,000th NCCCO mobile crane practical exam by the company. These exams, required for persons seeking their certification from the National Commission for Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO), have provided employers with a powerful tool that has been proven to reduce the number of injuries and fatalities on construction sites across the nation.
Facilitating the company’s expanded footprint, Wade Mikulla has joined the company as the Manager of Business Development for Texas and Louisiana. Wade holds a Master of Science in Leadership, Management and Organizational Development from Troy University, a Bachelor of Business Administration, Business Logistics from Pennsylvania State University and has over 15 years’ experience in strategic operations and program management. Prior to joining CICB, he was a U.S. Navy Commanding Officer, responsible for the management and development of training programs and educational strategies, along with managing cross-functional personnel to elevated operational effectiveness.
For the last 47 years, CICB has gained a well-known reputation of adhering to the highest standards of excellence in the education of crane and rigging personnel, integrity in providing third party equipment inspection services, and providing Management Assist Visits. According to Craig Epperson, CEO and President of CICB, the addition of Wade will continue to keep these values at the forefront of what the company wants to embrace and accomplish for their clients.
“Understanding the market trends and forecasts is instrumental in positioning CICB for continued growth and success,” said Billy Cook, Director of Sales and Marketing, “Wade’s strong strategic operations experience and manager competence will push CICB’s growing business to the next level.”
