INNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A benefit account has been set up for the children of a man killed in an accident Monday when a crane tipped over in Maplewood.
Cory Lewellin, 34, leaves behind three sons, and his fiancée is expecting another child, a girl, next month.
The Greater Minnesota Credit Union announced Wednesday that a benefit account has been set up for Lewellin’s children. Contributions are currently being accepted at the credit union’s locations in Mora, Milaca, Isle, Elk River, Pine City and Ogilvie.
On Tuesday, one of Lewellin’s co-workers said he owns his life to Lewellin. Rich Thies suffered a serious heart attack in August, and it was Lewellin’s actions that saved his life.
“I’m here because of what Cory did,†Thies said.
