The 60-tonne capacity class Challenger 3180 joins a fleet of 18 all-terrain cranes at the family-owned business that was founded by Arnold and Anne Baggott in 1985.
Managing director Arnold Baggott said: “The Challenger 3180 was our preferred choice for a number of reasons, but particularly for its compactness on three axles and for having the longest boom length in its class.
“To meet the growing and diverse needs of our customers it was clear from the outset that we needed an all-terrain crane with a 50-metre boom system. We trawled the market and quickly realised that the Challenger 3180 was exactly the right crane for us. With a strong load chart and superb driver environment, this latest addition to the fleet promises to deliver everything our customers want and expect.â€
“It’s also fair to say we were influenced by the Terex after-sales service and support available to us in our area. It’s important to have the confidence and reassurance that comes from having factory-trained engineers on your doorstep.â€
At 4m radius the Challenger 3180 can lift up to 37.9 tonnes. As well as a 50-metre main boom, it has a 16-metre extension.
