J+B Küpers GmbH, Osterwald, Germany, took delivery of a new Liebherr LTM 1130-5.1 five-axle all-terrain crane earlier this month. The crane replaces a crane in the same capacity class and will be used to service the oil and gas industry.
“Our mobile cranes are used, for example, for loading work and for erecting and dismantling systems,” said Joachim Küpers, managing director. “The heavy pumps used in this industry can weigh up to 30 tonnes.”
Küpers operates 12 mobile cranes with lifting capacities of up to 220 tonnes. “The customers in these industries have high-quality demands and strict requirements relating to the safety of the equipment we use,” he said. “The new LTM 1130-5.1 with its VarioBase variable support base and working area limitation satisfies these requirements in full.”
