A recall of Tadano Mobile Cranes has been initiated after it was found a possible air hose fault could affect the vehicles brakes.
Affecting a total of seven units, the Tadano All Terrain Mobile Crane recall is being overseen by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC).
The ACCC recall notice advising that the failure could occur when an air hose in the brake circuit dislodges from the fitting. The vehicle may cease moving or there may be a decrease of the service brake performance while driving on the road.
If an air hose dislodges while driving, the crane will come to a stop on the road or the service brake performance will be decreased, causing a potential accident which may result in injuries to the driver or others.
The seven cranes were sold in New South Wales, Victoria and Western Australia by Tadano Oceania Pty Ltd
Tadano will contact each customer that was supplied an affected unit and make arrangements to rectify the fault.
