A new industrial facility in Dundalk will centralize mid-Atlantic operations for a Louisiana-based company and create jobs in the area, Baltimore County officials said Monday.
Baltimore County officials welcome industrial supplier H&E Equipment Services, which recently moved from two locations into a new facility in Dundalk.
Baltimore County government provided the following statement:
Dundalk is the ‘perfect location’ for industrial supply company, Baltimore County Executive Kevin Kamenetz said.
H&E Equipment Services—a national supplier of equipment for construction, mining, manufacturing and other industries that is based in Baton Rouge, LA—has moved to a newly constructed facility in Dundalk.
Its new location is on Grays Road, where its 40,000-square-foot building on 15 acres expands and consolidates H&E operations from Baltimore and Jessup and brings 30 jobs to Baltimore County.
“Due to growth, and the close proximity of our prior stores, it made a lot of operational sense to combine these two locations into one store,†Michael Criswell, H&E Baltimore branch manager, said. “Now our new facility is more centralized to a majority of our business and more convenient to most of our customers.â€
H&E specializes in heavy earthmoving equipment, cranes, aerial lifts, telescopic forklifts and general construction equipment.
The facility on Grays Road includes offices; shop space; 18 service bays and a 9,000 square-foot parts warehouse.
“Dundalk is the perfect location for a company that specializes in equipment for construction and manufacturing,†Baltimore County Executive Kevin Kamenetz said. “There’s easy interstate access to customers throughout the region, as well as new business opportunities as development accelerates at Sparrows Point.â€
The company anticipates customer service will improve and its rental fleet will grow as a result of the move to Grays Road, Criswell said.
The Dundalk branch will serve Maryland; Delaware; and the Washington, D.C. area.
“It’s always good news when a company brings new jobs and investment to Dundalk,†County Councilman Todd Crandell, a Dundalk native, said. â€We welcome H&E to the Dundalk business community.â€
