The advantages of the Demag City cranes from Zweibrücken are well known at Viktor Baumann GmbH & Co. KG from Bornheim – after all, the company has already been successfully using two AC 40 City cranes for several years. Two Baumann crane operators, Detlef Manns and Georg Rinke, picked up the new Demag® AC 45 City crane in Zweibrücken last month, and the expectations are accordingly high. The new equipment was handed over by Sales Manager Helge Prüfer.
“With a total length of just 8.69 m and a height of just 3.16 m, the AC 45 City is the most compact crane in its class and therefore ideally suited to working indoors. Especially in combination with the IC-1 Plus control system, which enables infinitely adjustable and asymmetrical outrigger set up, our view is that it is unrivalled in cramped construction site conditions,” says Managing Director Sabine Baumann-Duvenbeck, citing two major advantages of the Demag AC 45 City in addition to the most important areas of application for the new crane. From its headquarters in Bornheim, the company will use the AC 45 City primarily to support the two existing City cranes for machine assembly in halls and for company relocation. “The crane will benefit not least from its short boom base section of only 7.8 m, with which it can also work in low buildings with steep boom positions and lift correspondingly high loads,” states Sabine Baumann-Duvenbeck confidently.
