Introduced at Bauma in Munich last week the new CC 2800-2 from Demag follows in the tracks of a an extremely successful predecessor. Following but surpassing, as this crane is designed to do everything better than its elder brother.
The Demag CC 2800-2 replaces the CC 2800-1 but allows owners of the older model to keep several components for use on their new model. These include the luffing jib or the middle main boom inserts which can be used with both variants. This makes the investment of the add-ons last longer, spreading the capital cost effectively.
The technical specifications include a maximum load moment of 7,712t/m, and a maximum lift capacity of 600t. The main boom length is 102m extending to 138m in the Superlift LSL configuration, increasing to 192m with a luffing jib and the Superlift SWSL.
