Springfield Police say a man taken for treatment at Cox South Hospital ran before he went inside and climbed up and out onto a large crane on the hospital grounds. It happened at about 2:30 p.m. Sunday.
Police say the man spent about 30 minutes up in the crane. Firefighters had suited up to go bring him down when the man decided to climb down on his own. Police arrested the man when he reached the ground.
There’s no word on what charges the climber may face.
