Construction has started for a new 13,000-square-foot corporate headquarters for Irving-based Davis Crane Service, a supplier and operator of hydraulic and conventional motor cranes since 1962.
Fort Worth-based general contractor, Speed Fab-Crete, and its design-build architectural partner,Callahan & Freeman, were tapped to perform construction and design services for the $2 million project. Slated for completion in December 2014, the stand-alone, two-story building will serve as Davis Crane Service’s new corporate office and crane fleet operating headquarters, now located at 1212 North Loop 12
 in Irving.
The project will include new parking/paving, sidewalks, utilities and supporting site improvements.
“Davis Crane Service’s new state-of-the-art facility will enable the company to expand the number and size of cranes in its fleet, accommodate its experienced staff, and ultimately better serve its rapidly-growing customer base,†president and co-owner of Speed Fab-Crete David Bloxom said in a news release.
In addition to Fort Worth-based Speed Fab-Crete and Callahan & Freeman Architects, the project team includes Dallas-based Civil Point Engineers, Inc.; Fort Worth-based Callahan Structural Engineers; and Arlington-based Fratto Engineering, Inc.
