A MASSIVE crane being used to build a jam-busting bridge was taking shape today. The mega machine will hoist six steel beams into place over the River Don in Aberdeen. The 1,000 tonne crane is on the south bank at Tillydrone.
Members of the public will be able to watch construction start tomorrow – weather permitting. If the wind keeps down, two 60-tonne beams will be lifted into place from the south side. Next week four beams will be manoeuvred into position from the north side at Grandholm Village.
