Mammoet and Dutch Grand Prix have announced that Mammoet has become official Event Supplier of the Formula 1 Heineken Dutch Grand Prix.
The event will be held at the ‘Circuit Zandvoort’, near Amsterdam, from May 1-3, 2020. Mammoet will deliver cranes and specialists to those turns in the circuit where they are needed, to provide rapid response services in case cars need to be lifted off the circuit immediately. Currently, Mammoet is providing crane services to the construction work on the circuit.
Paul van Gelder, CEO at Mammoet, comments: “In the Netherlands, the Formula 1 race at Circuit Zandvoort is legendary. Unfortunately, it ceased to be organized since 1985. Now, many Dutch race fans are looking forward to this event and Mammoet is proud to be part of it. Formula 1 and heavy lifting and transport have a lot in common: they are both about high performance in challenging circumstances and success hinges on seamless teamwork. What also motivated Mammoet to participate is the ambition of Dutch Grand Prix to make this the greenest Grand Prix in the world. Their objectives align with Mammoet’s sustainability goals.”
Jan Lammers, Formula 1 racer in the 1970’s and 80’s and Sporting Director of Dutch Grand Prix, the company that organizes the event: “We are very happy to have Mammoet on board as our partner for the coming years. They are a well-known brand in the Netherlands and part of the Dutch industrial legacy, going back over 200 years. Our purpose is to connect people in the Netherlands with a safe and exciting event and we are happy to count on Mammoet’s professionalism and expertise in realizing that.”
