Safeway Scaffolding has taken delivery of its first 26-tonne vehicle, a Renault Range C380 with Bonfiglioni P20000 crane and dropside body.
Supplied by Renault Trucks Coventry, the Birmingham-based operator’s latest vehicle was chosen for its payload, compatibility with the crane and dealer service, according to managing director Peter Roche.
Prior to the Range C’s arrival, Safeway’s largest vehicles were 18-tonners. “I wanted something much bigger for our fleet; something that could offer us a greater payload,” explains Roche.
“I considered Iveco and Mercedes, but felt that, overall, the Renault Range C, together with the excellent service and back-up support from Renault Trucks Coventry, was a better truck for our needs.”
