The Liebherr Group is present at Finland´s largest trade fair for construction machinery Maxpo, which is held from 5 to 7 September in Hyvinkää. On stand A 60, measuring 1.480 m2, Liebherr offers trade visitors a range of construction machinery from the fields of earthmoving, material handling and mobile cranes.
Liebherr presents a total of twelve exhibits of its current range of construction machinery. The highlights at the Liebherr stand include the R 9386 crawler excavator, the LH 30 M material handling machine, the compact wheeled excavators A 914 and A 918. In addition: the MK 88 Plus, a mobile construction crane and two wheel loaders, a LRT 1090-2.1 and the new LTM 1230-5.1.
New Generation: the new R 938 crawler excavator
The “Generation 8”. This new stage is predominantly characterised by even greater power, even higher productivity and even more comfort for the operator. The new R 938 model is presented at Liebherr’s trade fair stand at Maxpo 2019 alongside an engine which meets Stage V emission standards. Like all models in the new generation, the Liebherr crawler excavator, launched in 2019, also boasts numerous improvements.
A powerful all-round talent: Liebherr’s material handler LH 30 M
The material handler impresses with its versatility in different applications, such as scrap recycling, as well as handling general and bulk cargo. The LH 30 is available with either a wheeled or crawler undercarriage. The material handler showcased at Maxpo is designed for challenging recycling tasks. For environments with heavy dust the LH 30 M is equipped with a large mesh radiator, a fully automatic reversible fan drive, as well as an air pre-filter with dust discharge.
Highest levels of productivity: wheel loaders L550 XPower® and L507 stereoloader
Liebherr presents its smallest XPower® wheel loader, the L 550 XPower® with industrial linkage, at its booth. Depending on the configuration of the machine, the tipping load of the more than 18.5 t heavy L 550 XPower® with industrial linkage amounts to around 11.1 t. The XPower® wheel loaders meet the requirements of companies from the widest variety of sectors. For example, an important field of application is the recycling industry, where operators place particularly high demands on the machines. Reliability is of the utmost importance as wheel loaders in recycling operations frequently play key roles in the production process.
Liebherr’s second wheel loader at Maxpo is the recently introduced L 507 Speeder, a representative of the latest generation of Liebherr’s well-proven Stereoloaders. The L 507 excels with numerous innovations, such as the new Z-unit bar linkage and the spacious driver’s cab. Powerful components and innovative diagonal cooling provide a high level of reliability. For operations requiring longer driving distances, Liebherr offers the option ‘Speeder’. This allows the L 507 to reach a maximum speed of 38 km/h, enabling operators to save time by moving their Stereoloader from one site to the next efficiently.
Compact wheeled excavators: compact design – powerful drive
At Maxpo 2019, Liebherr presents the A 914 Compact Litronic and the A 918 Compact Litronic from the range of compact wheeled excavators. Both machines comply with the requirements of the Stage IV exhaust emissions standard. The machines impress with their high performance levels, as well as excellent driving distances with very low fuel consumption.
The Liebherr A 914 Compact Litronic wheeled excavator has an operating weight from 15,200 to 17,500 kg and an engine power of 105 kW / 143 hp. The configuration of the exhibit at the trade fair includes a 4.85 m long adjustable boom and a 2.45 m long stick.
The operating weight of the A 918 Compact Litronic is between 17,500 and 19,600 kg. The 115 kW / 156 hp machine combines power and speed with enormous flexibility. The equipment consists of a 5.05 m long adjustable boom, as well as a 2.45 m long stick.
Compact on four axles: mobile construction crane MK 88 Plus
At Maxpo 2019, the tower crane division of Liebherr will be exhibiting an MK 88 Plus from Finnish crane rental company Lamminsivu. Liebherr supplies a four-axle model which provides high load capacities and a large radius whilst being compact in size in the form of the MK 88 mobile construction crane. With its horizontal jib, the load capacity at the jib head with a radius of 45.0 m is 1,850 kg. The Plus option, which can be activated easily using the crane controller, provides up to 10% more load capacity. The load capacity at the jib head is thus increased to 2,000 kg. With its additional ballast, the MK 88 Plus can hoist 2,200 kg at a radius of 45.0 m.
Long, powerful and versatile: mobile crane LTM 1230-5.1
The mobile crane’s highlights include the length and lifting capacity of the telescopic boom. Its predecessor, the LTM 1200-5.1, also had one of the longest telescopic booms in this crane class at 72 metres. The new 230-tonne crane not only delivers an extra 3 metres in length but also an average of 20 percent greater lifting capacity. In addition to a multi-functional folding jib, a 43 m fixed jib is also available. The Liebherr innovations VarioBase®, VarioBallast, ECOmode and ECOdrive mean that crane operators can use the new LTM 1230-5.1 with even more safety and efficiency.
High performance, safety and comfort: rough-terrain crane LRT 1090-2.1
Liebherr has extended its mobile crane product range with an additional series of rough-terrain cranes in the 90-tonne and 100-tonne classes. They feature high performance, safety and comfort. At Maxpo Liebherr will be exhibiting the LRT 1090-2.1. High safety levels in every respect were the main priority for the design of the new Liebherr LRT cranes. Both new crane models feature an outrigger monitoring system as standard. The support status, on tyres or outriggers, is detected automatically and saved to the crane controller. The attachment of the ballast to the turntable and the installation of the optional double folding jib including its angle adjustment are also recorded and monitored.
