LAS VEGAS — Stellar Industries introduced a heavy-duty telescopic service crane line at the 2014 Conexpo-Con/Agg construction equipment show here March 4-8.
The Garner Iowa, firm’s crane line ranges in capacities from 7,500 to 14,000 pounds, with all-hydraulic extensions ranging from 21 to 30 feet and an articulation range from -10 degrees to +80 degrees. Other features include an on-demand speed control which increases engine rpm only when the crane is being used. The system also will power down the engine to idle when the crane is inactive for 5 seconds.
The cranes also include the Stellar CDTplus remote control system as standard. The CDTplus system introduced earlier in Stellar products controls and monitors the crane’s action and alerts the operator either via an LCD screen or vibrations through the radio remote control. The system gives the operator instant feedback about the crane, including load, current and remaining reach and when approaching maximum capacity.
